Backbone of the Coast

from $33.00

This fine art print of a spawning sockeye salmon was originally hand-drawn using archival ink pens. Inside the salmon’s body, I’ve illustrated a scene that speaks to the interconnectedness of life along the coast—the towering mountains, a river teeming with life, and the bear and eagle feeding on the very salmon that sustains them. This piece represents the essential role of salmon, not only in supporting wildlife but in nourishing the land itself, feeding trees, animals, and ecosystems throughout their life cycle. During their spawning, salmon are truly the backbone of the coast, connecting the land, water, and creatures in a delicate balance of life.

It is printed on acid-free fine art paper using archival inks. Each print is hand-signed and numbered by the artist, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.

  • Limited Editions of 30

  • Unframed
